Christmas GiftsYou have got to admit that among those in your list, you thought long and hard about Christmas Gift Ideas for men. Even if you are a woman who loves to shop, you are probably stumped on what to give your husband, dad, brother, in-laws or boss for Christmas. It could be because men are generally not open about their wishes, or most often, they want items that are way over your budget. It is a challenge to buy presents for the gentlemen, choosing the perfect gift that they will truly appreciate takes the notch higher.

In short-listing Christmas gift ideas for the men in your life, try to consider each person’s interests. Is your husband the techie-geeky type and loves books? Does your father enjoy watching and playing sports? How much does your brother love dining out? If you think your boss will appreciate cheese and wine, why not list it down? Again, it can get tricky especially if you are working around a budget. When you have even the slightest idea what they will like, your task becomes easier.

Here are some Christmas gift ideas that you can check-out for the men in your list:

  • For the technology advanced and geeky – mobile phone, net book, laptop, music player, upgraded personal computer part (RAM or Hard Drive upgrade), or a high-end digital SLR & some lenses;
  • For the homebody – an HDTV, home theater system, better lawnmower, a Lazy Boy or some board games;
  • For the sporty type – season tickets to his favorite sports event, additional golf clubs, dry-fit shirts and pairs of shorts, or a pair of trainers;
  • For the serious and studious type – a dress watch, e-book reader, magazine subscriptions, or a stylish pen;
  • For the normal unclassified one – a box of branded chocolates, toiletries like shaving cream and aftershave lotion, a shirt, a tie, wallet or belt, or a box of goodies.

The number one question is: Will he like and use your gift? You do not want to be giving out something that will be thrown out or recycled to be given to others. If you are very open with the person, better ask him his preferences. This way, you are assured that you are preparing the perfect present. Keep in mind also that men also welcome nicely wrapped gifts, so an effort on your part to make the package pretty would be great.

Finding the perfect gift is a test. If you find yourself running out of Christmas gift ideas, then you might want to consider giving gift cards instead.

Make A Good Impression With Your Bachelor Pad

Posted by Adam Everson on Jan 15, 2010 under Christmas Gifts For Men

Are you a bachelor with a big need to improve your pad? Ah, lucky you! You’ve come across the right article. Read on and find out the best ideas for transforming your home from argh! and blah! to a big and resounding WOW!

Start with a new coat of paint. Painted walls are the first things you notice in a room, so a change of color or adding some new texture livens up a living space quickly. Unfortunately, painting is also laborious and time-consuming if you can’t afford a professional painter. Why not invite your girlfriend or other females who’ve been threatening to update your decor to help with the painting? In other words, put up or shut up, ladies.

When choosing paint, keep in mind that a lighter color will make your place look bigger, an important consideration if you live in a tiny apartment or cramped condo. By the same token, a darker color can make a room feel more closed in, although one wall in a darker shade can have a focusing effect. If going with a lighter color, you don’t have to stick with the usual “eggshell white.” Softer shades are definitely an option, especially tans such as mocha or cappuccino, light gray-blue and sage green. Stay away from pinkish-toned pastels (unless you WANT the guys to rib you endlessly).

For an embellished wall, you can do sponge painting or create a denim or linen effect. There are pro painters who can do the job in a day or two at the most.

Now that your walls are beautified, show them off with some new lighting. No, we’re not talking the expensive refit needed for recessed or track lighting. Instead, think about the way lighting affects your favorite TV show or a movie. Then get some new table lamps, floor lamps and ceiling fixtures that can reproduce what your mind’s eye envisions. Look for lamps in minimalist designs so they don’t distract from your manly decor. You should be able to find lamps with wood, leather or ceramic bases to suit your mood.

Finally, what about the furniture? After all, isn’t it time you got rid of that cable-spool table you’ve been using since college?

You can still use your old furnishings but please, make sure they still look okay. More importantly, that they can still function well. You don’t want to be sitting a pretty lady only to find her smacked down on the floor! Rearrange your furniture and see for yourself how a change in placement can impact a room. It’s like moving to a new place!

It is recommended however, to spend good money on good furniture pieces and decors to complement your new interiors. This is especially true with the change in paint. Of course, you want pieces that go well with the new color. They can be simple things like an ottoman, side table, artwork, area rugs, chair, etc.

With just a bit of effort and expense, you can rack up points with the ladies for being a man in charge of his home environment!

Masculine home decorating is simple when you use the right rugs. These flokati area rugs work well with all male decorating styles.

21 Questions To Ask A Guy

Posted by David Web on Jan 8, 2010 under Christmas Gifts For Men

Questions, questions and more questions! They are the most interesting things that we can ask when we want to learn about someone else.

Dale Carnegie in his timeless bestselling book, “How to win friends and influence people” shares about the amazing power of asking questions to show that we are interested in connecting with someone else.

Have you ever been to a party and you’ve been the one asking the questions and doing most of the listening? If you have you will probably agree that the other person thought that the conversation was quite interesting – funny that! You probably did less that twenty percent of the speaking but you got 100% of the credit!

If you’re a guy and ask some great questions, you will often find yourself leaping to final base, thus saving yourself a lot of legwork trying to build rapport with her. Asking questions and listening is one of the most naturally flattering things you can do to anyone.

If you’re a woman and want to brush a guy’s ego and make him feel super good and wanted, then just ask him lots of questions and then really listen to the answers. You will have the guy on a dangling string in seconds!

Despite the ego-focused side of asking and listening there is a genuine side as well. Because the people who are genuinely interested in someone else and ask great questions are the people who are always popular and well liked. Faking interest is the worst thing you can do. And at the end of the day, if you are not a natural listener then put yourself to the test and practice. You will start to learn SO much about so many things and you will discover parts of people that are just SO interesting to learn about.

Here’s 21 questions to ask to get conversation jump-started. They have been written from a female perspective, just switch them around if you are a guy and want to use them. If nothing else it will get you thinking about your own questions – which are always better.

Here’s 21 questions to ask a guy or a girl

1. If you’re a waiter and a customer was super rude, would you spill food accidentally on them or think about doing this?

2. What was your favourite cartoon character as a kid and why did you enjoy them?

3. If you could choose to have dinner with 5 people (real of fictional) who would you invite and why?

4. If you could suddenly become the invisible man, where would you go and what would you do?

5. If someone was to make a comedy movie about just one part of your life, which part would they script and what would be written?

6. What was your favourite television character when you were a child? What did you like about them?

8. What do you regret not doing the most in your life?

8. What has been the weirdest experience in your whole entire life?

9. Have you ever gone on a date with someone who is so much taller or smaller than you, and if so how did you get on kissing?

10. How old were you when you had your first proper date? Did you get to kiss them and if so was it a French kiss?

11. What’s the most horrible lie you have ever told someone in your life? Where you caught out and who was it that you told it to?

12. If you instantly turned into a woman for a day, how would you spend that day?

13. If you do not like someone do you show it or pretend that you like them?

14. Which do you prefer the most in a woman – intelligence, a good body or good looks?

Time to get a little more personal! Maybe you should wait till you have had a few more drinks before asking some of these!

15. Have you ever been caught with your pants down in a public place – if so what were you doing?

16. What’s the difference between making love and having sex for you and which do you prefer?

17. If you could suddenly change the age you lost your virginity, would you?

18. What turns you on the most?

19. Were you ever unfaithful with your partner? If so did they find out and if so what did they do?

20. Have you ever been caught touching yourself sexually? If you did, how old where you and who caught you?

21. Have you ever serial sex – with one person and then been with a different person somewhere else within the same day?

Posted by Dustin Fennell on Dec 28, 2009 under Christmas Gifts For Men

What are three steps you can take to conceal your moobs. The first step is to change your diet. Start eating and changing your diet to consume foods low in fat. Changing your eating habits alone is not enough sometimes. Start working out and do exercises that concentrate on shaping your man boobs into firm pecs.Do some cardio. Cardio helps burn fat. Burn the fat in your chest area, and overall body. Tighten your boobs and other parts of the body. Along with aerobic exercise, you should also do anaerobic work outs such as weight lifting. This will help you tone and sculpt saggy boobs into firm pecs that will give you so much confidence.

Overweight men tend to be most likely to accumulate fat in the breast area, giving the appearance of having “man boobs”. This can be embarrassing and detrimental to self esteem. Change your diet to reduce the amount of adipose tissue in not just your breast area but the overall body. Often times, changing your diet may not be enough. Start exercising

Man boobs occurs in many men. Most of the men tend to be overweight. But even some average sized men will sometimes grow man boobs. The condition is known as Gynecomastia. If you find your self with man boobs that look like you need a bra, it may be time to make some adjustments.

If you are opting for surgery, speak to your doctor to see if it is right for you. But this is only if the other methods have failed. If you are just lazy and wanting to seek the quick way out, the surgical procedure is not for you.

Having man boobs can be quite embarrassing. People make fun of and ridicule those with man boobs. They may tell you to get a bra or have fun at others expense by squeezing them. Yeah, some people are sick that way. It can be detrimental to one’s self image and self esteem. Don’t let man boobs ruin your life. The best and simple way is through diet and exercise. If that is not enough, talk to your doctor for other options (such as surgery).

Many men start developing the features from teen years. But it is not too much of a big deal if it starts then since the body is going through so many hormonal changes. But if the problem proceeds to later on into your twenties and thirties, you might want to start making some changes.

You can conceal it as much as you want. But it will still be there. Take action in efforts to get rid of it. Eating right and exercising is the best way. And it is great for your overall health!

The condition can affect your dating life as well. Men may feel shy or embarrassed when being with a woman. Some women may be turned off by it. So do something about it today! Get the sexy pecs you always wanted. Hitting the gym regularly is the best way to go. Not only will you tone up your pecs, other parts of your body will be firmed and toned. Look and feel great.

scrap books.
photo albums.
picture frames.
jewlery
paint flower pots.
(you can decorate all thes thigns in ways to make them relate to the person)
I guess it depends on there interests ,

How much do you spend on family members for christmas gifts?

Posted by admin on Oct 24, 2009 under Christmas Gifts For Men

I love shopping for other people and usually start shopping for Christmas gifts in August. this tends to lead to large amounts of money spent on nieces, nephews and grandparents in comparison to my husband and daughter. In the effort to be more financially minded, I am wondering what an appropriate amount of money is to spend on gifts. Or if anyone has advice on how i can spend less aside from sale shopping. thanks

I too have quite a big family and not just that but 5 birthdays as well around the christmas period. This is what i spend to give you a idea but I do break it up as I buy presents from now and finish in october – I have already bought 8 so far!

My husband – £250
My Mum – £150
My Mums partner – £20
His 2 kids – £15 each
My Dad – £30
My Dads wife – £20
My Grandma – £30
My Grandad – £30
Friends x 4 – £15 each
My Niece – £20
My Husbands Mum and Stepday – £35 total
My Husbands 4 brothers and sister – £15 each

Wow, thats quite alot when you add it up but theres just so many people to buy for then another £150 on the 5 birthdays around that time to! Still when I have been really skint I have made chocolate truffles and flvoured oils and made hampers rather then buying things and really cut back. Ebays great for bargains.

How old is too old to expect Christmas gifts but not give any in return?

Posted by admin on Oct 20, 2009 under Christmas Gifts For Men

All these teenagers conjuring up extensive lists of namebrand items and complaining when their Christmas loot didn’t include every last thing they lusted for – it got me thinking. I know parents and immediate family members don’t expect a gift when kids are young, but at what point is it just considered immature and thoughtless to expect hefty gifts without giving to others in return?

Merry Christmas, everyone!!
I didn’t mean every last teenager acts this way, just to clarify.

I started giving christmas presents when i was officially a teen, a few christmases ago. I don’t buy wicked expensive ones, but special, little things that people always enjoy, like soap or something for a collection they have.

What are typical Christmas gifts given to a child in Mexico?

Posted by admin on Oct 14, 2009 under Christmas Gifts For Men

I am teaching a group of students a lesson on Christmas in Mexico. From what I have read about Christmas in Mexico, Christmas is still really celebrating Christ’s birth! I love that! In the United States, so much emphasis is given to gift-giving from Santa. Do children in Mexico expect lots of gifts like in the USA? Are the gifts big and elaborate or small and meaningful?

I have family that lives in Mexico….Actually, the schools there give out a lunch sack filled with apples, oranges, and nuts to each child. Also, when I moved to texas 5 miles away from the Mexico border I was in High School and our school in the United States did this same thing…I guess fruit baskets are a common gift in Mexico.

When Do You Open Christmas Gifts In Your House?

Posted by admin on Oct 14, 2009 under Christmas Gifts For Men

Everyone runs a little bit different. I know of some who do it at midnight on Christmas Eve (when Christmas technically starts), some do it on Christmas morning, and I know some who do it on Christmas evening.

When does your family do gifts together?

On Christmas eve morning we each open one present then the whole family gets together at my sisters house for Christmas eve dinner and we open presents there then we visit my husband’s family and open a couple gifts then on Chrismas morning we open a bunch of gifts then we go to our church and open some gifts after the play then we stop by my mother in law’s and open presents and finally we open presents at my mothers house after Christmas dinner.

What can I make for Christmas gifts?

Posted by admin on Oct 12, 2009 under Christmas Gifts For Men

For Christmas, my best friend and I have decided to make each other Christmas gifts rather than buy them. We’re both in our late teens. I’m quite arty and can do most crafts. Does anyone have any suggestions?
